This Privacy Policy explains how Happy Wholesale ("Happy Wholesale", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit happywholesale.ca (the "Site"), create an account, or buy from us. We are a business-to-business wholesale supplier based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.
By using the Site or creating an account, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who this Site is for
The Site is intended for businesses and their authorized representatives. It is not intended for consumers or for anyone below the legal age to purchase age-restricted products in their province or territory. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account and contact details: name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, and password (stored in hashed form).
- Business and tax details: business registration or GST/HST number, and similar information we need to open a trade account and issue invoices.
- Licences and permits: where we sell age-restricted or regulated products (for example vape, tobacco or alcohol products), we may ask you to provide copies or numbers of the licences, permits or registrations that allow you to buy and resell them, and to give us identification of the authorized representative where the law requires it.
- Orders and payments: items ordered, order history, invoices, and payment method details. Card payments and bank transfers are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. For Interac e-Transfer, we see the sender's name, email and transfer reference.
- Communications: messages, support requests, reviews and any other information you send us.

If you choose to sign up or log in with Google, Google shares with us your name, email address and Google account identifier (and, if available, your profile picture). We use only this basic information to create and secure your account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data. Happy Wholesale's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can also create an account with an email address and password instead.

4. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that work for us under confidentiality obligations: web hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, shipping and courier companies, email and text-message delivery, accounting software, and security tools. They may use the information only to provide services to us.

When information is processed in another country, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and other authorities there under that country's laws. We use contracts and security measures to protect information wherever it is handled.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Site to work (for example to keep you logged in and to remember your cart), and, if enabled, for basic analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site, such as login and checkout, may not work without them.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services. We keep order, invoice and tax records for at least six years, as required for tax and accounting purposes, and we keep licence and compliance records for as long as the law requires or our legitimate compliance needs continue. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We use reasonable physical, technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
